I was totally craving home made ice cream tonight, but didn't have any of the right ingredients. Instead I made up a new smoothie, and wow was it good. Silk Very Vanilla Soy Milk, Odwalla fresh OJ, a bunch of frozen mango chunks, and a lil flax seed. Even better than our usual of OJ, Very Vanilla, and ice cubes.
I also made up dinner tonight. A pot of brown rice, and a red lentil sauce. Sauce was as follows: half onion fried in olive oil, add 2 huge cloves of garlic, fry until all soft. Mix in 1 tsp dried basil, then add 1 cup red lentils (washed),3 cups water, and a cube of veggie boullion. Cook until the lentils are nearly soft, then add 1 8-oz can tomato sauce. Cook until soupy. Add a lil water if it gets too thick. Serve over the rice. It turned out totally! yum. I served it with a napa cabbage salad and dinner was really good.
I always make up recipes and never remember so hopefully this'll help.
